This is quite a personal post, because I'm unsure whether this is a national theme, a district theme, or a world-wide theme. But it's my exam project for Photography this year, as well as all the art subjects, and I'm completely stuck on it. Not one clue as to what to do. So if this helps just one person, I know the purpose of this blog is working.

im doing the exact same project theme for my exam for a2 photography
im struggling on what to actually focus on
Yeah, same here. Try looking at other media, like TV shows, music videos, movies etc. I found my in an All American Rejects video.
I'm really struggling with this project. I've decided on a photographer to look at and work from, his name is John Stezaker. This is a link to a google image search of his work incase you haven't heard of him .....
http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&rlz=1T4GGLG_enGB310GB273&q=john+stezaker&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=4cGuSYXLJ4zFjAfk452lBg&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&resnum=1&ct=title
As you can see he has taken two photographs of two different people and put them together. I want to take the idea of using two different images and putting them together as he has. But i don't know what to photograph that will be easy to do and stick within the discord theme?
Any ideas?
Thank you :)
ryan, who left a comment above showed me this site.
Thanks it has helped alot!
i was stuck looking for a photographer that inspired me, but you have given a huge list for me to work my way through :)
Anonymous: John Stezaker's work is awesome, and should be really interesting to 'recreate' so to speak. For the case of discord, I don't think you have to really worry too much, as the discord could by counted as the ripping of the two photographs/putting them together. Try out an ideas film, I always find them helpful, as you can go a little nuts and just take random photos to get the ideas flowing. Try working from Stezaker's work drectly, by using people, and then add in some of your own elements, like combining people with nature, or animals. And try talking to your tutor, as they may be able to point you in the right direction, and give you further ideas to base your work around. Hopefully that's helped even a tiny bit, let me know if you need more, we can puzzle it out together.
Claudia: I'm glad I could help! Hopefully they inspire you into a great project (mine has somewhat stalled, unfortunetly).
awesome, i hope this helps me, thanks! this topic is pants. lol. well ok, it's a really meaty topic but it's just a bitch to choose one thing.
i'm doing the argument of having animals in the circus... i think i've complicated things for myself and it's too late to go back! finding it really hard to do my critical studies...
Ellie
Ellie: I completely understand where you're coming from. It's a great topic, area wise, because you really can do anything, but it's so hard to narrow it down. I prefer topics that are narrower, but you can expand on. I'm doing secrets, and people revealing them, but the critical part of it is so difficult.
Good luck with your exams guys!
